New Facebook Program – Trash Talker

Dear Trash Talker,

I am concerned about ID theft – so I shred all of my papers at home.  I was told that shredded paper goes in the trash and not recycling.  How can this be true???

Signed,

Joe Shredder

 Dear Joe,

Yes – if you shred your paper at home – it goes in the trash.  Why, when the shredded paper is processed at the recycling facility it cannot be captured and ends up contaminating the loads.  But, if you take it to one of our shredding events – they are able to capture it and recycle it.
